Success story of using literary contest as a teaching method, Tartu Folk High School
We organized a literary contest to our newly arrived immigrant students studying Estonian in
different towns of Estonia. Our students were free to choose from 3 topics: my home and
hometown, my schoolyears, my work. lt was a success, because it gave the students a possibility to
express their feelings, thoughts and emotions in more personal manner.
